Authors: Ludi, Stephanie
Keywords: software engineering

Issue Date: 22-Aug-2008
Series/Report no.: created 2004
Abstract: The objective of the activity is to provide students the opportunity to experience the process of testing software using advanced student projects.  Students learn the importance of the testing process and the value of good testing feedback.
Description: This activity has worked best when (university)  introductory software engineering teams can participate, but in lieu of that an advanced team at the same school could work well too.  Some time and reminders will be needed to set up any logistics.  I have used this activity for 4 years, and it has worked well in engaging students in the material and in interaction with more experienced students.  Many experienced students have enjoyed having their projects tested and in sharing their experiences with the less experienced students.
