Abstract: JPie is an interactive programming environment designed to make the power of Java software development accessible to a wider audience. JPie achieves this by combining the following important features: (1) live software development, (2) direct manipulation of program elements, (3) fluid development process, (4) full access to Java classes, and (5) a tightly integrated development environment.
